In an Instagram post on July 13th, Dukureh acknowledged her gratitude and excitement for her part in the box office success in an Instagram post.

She wrote, “Graciousness is where I live because my granny, gmama, mamma, and family role-modeled and imprinted it in me.” It’s not a stance of inferiority or crumbs-scraping, but rather one that recognises that good things aren’t always guaranteed and that being thankful is the least we can do in certain situations.

The “Lady Sings the Blues” album, which was Dukureh’s debut studio release, was under production.

According to what she said on her website, the project is a tribute to blues music and the hardworking, unheralded artists and musicians who helped lay the groundwork for the rock ‘n’ roll music revolution.

Prior to focusing solely on music, Dukureh was a teacher in the Nashville public school system. The person from Charlotte, North Carolina, got a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Fisk University in Nashville and a master’s degree in education from Trevecca Nazarene University.

“I briefly taught second grade at Buena Vista Elementary in Metro Schools, and after that, I worked extensively with inner-city adolescents doing after-school programming, summer programming, and those programmes that we need during the break so that kids may have a positive place to be,” Dukureh told WPLN.
