Jessi Ends Contract With Brand Psy’s P Nation After Three Years: In recent years, K-pop fans have paid great attention to the label P Nation, which the K-pop idol-turned-CEO Psy founded. After achieving legendary success with ‘Gangnam Style,’ Psy quit his former record label, YG Entertainment, and founded his label, P Nation. Jessi, a soloist and rapper, was the first artist that the new firm signed. Over the years, Jessi’s ‘no-filter’ approach has made her a fan favourite in the traditionally conservative K-pop industry.
P Nation gradually became a second home for numerous artists who could not succeed at significant labels due to their stringent contracts and short work hours.
For instance, P Nation accepted musicians such as Hyuna and Dawn, who were erroneously thrown off their labels for dating.
By accepting singers with contentious pasts, such as Jessi, Hyuna, and Dawn, Psy’s company became known as a redemption label for misunderstood musicians.
Many of Jessi’s new admirers are stunned by the news of her departure from P Nation, while her former fans applaud her for moving forward.
