PM Narendra Modi Is The World’s Most Popular Leader, ACCORDING TO MORNING CONSULT’S GLOBAL LEADER-APPROVAL TRACKER, Prime PM Narendra Modi remains the world’s most loved leader, with an average approval of 77%.
In March, Morning Consult Political Intelligence published its latest figures, revealing that the approval score of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the highest among the 13 leaders of 13 nations.
Of the 13 leaders surveyed by the research firm is the top leader with 77%. He is then the Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who is ranked 64 percent. The Italian president Mario Draghi enjoys 54 percent, and Japan’s Fumio Kishida enjoys an approval score of 45 percent.
The data show that the Indian Prime Minister was the most popular leader in the world throughout the entire time between January 2020 and March 2022. The most recent approval ratings are based on the data collected between March 9 and 15, 2022.
In the two previous years, PM Modi’s approval ratings reached a record high of 84 percent on May 2, 2020. The PM’s approval rating hit its lowest on May 7, 2021, at 63% in the second coronavirus wave in the nation. But, in general, PM Modi’s approval ratings have remained high in comparison to other world leaders.
Canadian President Justin Trudeau and US President Joe Biden have got an approval rating of 42 percent and 41%, respectively, which puts them at the sixth and seventh spots in the respective rankings. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson ranked the lowest of the politicians surveyed, with a rating of 33%.
The approval ratings for the US president Joe Biden, presently at 41%, have dropped significantly to their lowest level throughout his administration. Biden’s popularity started to decline in 2012 due to the increase in deaths of Covid-19 as well as the quick removal of US troops from Afghanistan. Due to the US-backed conflict within Ukraine, Biden is losing more of his domestic support as well as his ratings for approval are likely to fall.
Based on Morning Consult, the survey is based on real-time data that is based on a 7-day moving standard of every adult living in the country of origin and has a margin of error between +/3 to 3. The median size of the sample for the US is 45,000; however, it ranges from 3,000-to 5,000 for other regions.
The surveys are weighted for each country by gender, age, and region. Additionally, in certain countries, the breakdown of education is based on official sources of government. For instance, in India, the survey sampling is representative of the population of literate.
